Greetings,
I don't know if this is universal or just how my computer is displaying this UHH forum but when I opened up the latest Jan 4th forum the two columns, that is the Author and Message column now occupy equal space on my computer. Whereas before, the Author column was about one sixth the width of the Message column. Is anyone else having the same problem? There are also other changes such as some words are highlighted in Green which when clicked on open up to advertisements. Have I been Malwared or been infected with a virus or something.
Other forums I participate in read the same.

I see a "newest topics" not a "latest" it says first post and last post.
Anyway some devices have "desk top layout" this changes the format to fit smaller devices.

The last virus I seen come threw here would flash and say there are 1000 errors found on your computer click here to fix them. Do not click these messages.
I called it the Delta virus because all the sudden my browser had Delta instead of Google chrome. The only fix was to uninstall and reinstall each browser service I use one at a time until the Delta browser was brought under control and removed by my anti virus. check for any new programs in your programs and features list compared to the date the problem started and uninstall these programs then restart. Just an idea, I am sure of nothing.

DO NOT CLICK THOSE HIGHLIGHTED WORDS! You will download even more problems. I had that problem not long ago and finally got rid of it by unsubscribing from Google +. Haven't had a problem since. I use Google Chrome now.

It is a virus. Run Malwarebytes or your virus protection manually, even if you have it set to do so automatically. It is a nasty little germ that is hard to get rid of. I had to do the Malwarebytes three times before it found all of it and it can re-infect quickly so do the antivirus again in a few days.

It seems like more and more that you get unwanted stuff with every upgrade of any of your pre installed programs. It is almost like the lemmings running into the sea. Once it starts it is unstoppable.

If you put your mouse over one of the links it will tell you, in the bottom left corner of your screen, where it wants to direct you. Do not click on it.

This may help in identifying the malware. You can then do a Google search on how to remove it. I recently removed "InternetCorkboard" this way. I had to download three other free programs to run besides the ones I have. I think it took five scans and removal but it was removed.

Actually, it was not from UHH. It was from another site. If you have get this malware it will show up on some sites and not others, Probably something to do with the language it is coded in. Not an expert, so I am surmising what's possible.

Bottom line I would not place the blame on UHH.

I downloaded a Bing Bar for temporary use during this ordeal. Later uninstalled it.

larrywilk, Sorry if you misunderstood me, I'm in no way blaming UHH just trying to find out where I got infected.

Did not take it that way. Just a statement. We all make mistakes and I was in a rush, clicked the wrong button and got it. Wary as I am I was re-downloading Firefox for a fresh install...bang! soon as I clicked on it, I said "Oh, s**t!"

Check your computer for ad-ware and rmove it with the control panel add/remove programs. Google any programs you aren't familiar with so you don't delete necessary programs.

deleting firefox wont remove it as it will now be on your hard drive so you will still need to run a antivirus programme to remove it
