The theme of my photo club's contest for January is "Yellow". Here's my entry; Smoking Bananas. The fun part is that the smoke was created by a piece of yarn, a flashlight and a long exposure.

Thank You. Fun project for a very cold day.
That a neat one Thanks for sharing.
Electric-al banana? I remember many, many years ago my little brother dried some banana peels in my oven and tried to smoke them. I think he only tried it once.
Creative shot. I thought it was smoke. Well done.

Let us guess :-o You did not inhale
Very nice photo WCBike. I would not have noticed the hemp if you had not mentioned it.

I didn't have anything to do with that experiment. I might have had a glass of red wine, though.
Cool. Impressed with your creativity.
Thanks, everyone. I saw a video on doing this with an apple. Wasn't an original idea. If you want to try it, I placed The banana on a glass table top. Used a black jacket as a background. Tied yarn to an led flashlight and dangled yarn and shone light on banana. Camera settings were F8 for 8 .seconds. Be sure room is dark.

I think that was popular in the 60s.
Ah, the 60's. Somebody saw in a Bay Area rag sheet that smoking roasted banana peels was a terrific idea. Naturally, we tried it. Couldn't get the taste out of my mouth for a week.
