I have been asked to do an outside wedding in November and have a Canon rebel xt (digital) and external flash. I saw this setup of the Alzo Flip Flash camera bracket with umbrella and i wounder if this would be a good purchase? Tracie
I used the Alzo bracket with flash and umbrella at an outdoors wedding and it helped soften and balance the light on the faces
Do you have any pictures you can show me with the bracket and umbrella?

I use the Alzo Flip bracket but didn't buy the umbrella system. It seems too awkward and bulky to me for the benefit you get. There are diffusers made of black nylon with a thin white nylon front that attach right to the flash head. The white front is two or three times as large as the flash head face so you get a wide distribution of direct flash that occurs inside the diffuser. It's like a studio light softbox attached to the flash head. Some flashes also won't let you use the power zoom or TTL circuitry when the head points straight up in the air toward an umbrella.
There is also a diffuser that straps onto the flash head, includes a 45 degree white panel card that is held three inches or so above the flash head and it creates bounced flash like an umbrella or ceiling would, but some of the direct flash still goes toward the subjects too so you don't get overhanging brow or raccoon eyes effect.
My main reason for the Alzo Flip is so I can do vertical or horizontal shots while the flash remains vertical.
could you direct me to a site to look at what you are suggesting?
