My favorite one said "We found your email address on a Christian website, and wanted to share this money with someone who shares our beliefs."
I'm Jewish.
I once edited a scam spam that stressed that they were looking for a "foreigner" to handle this money, and changed it to a search for a Foreigner cover band. I included Foreigner song lyrics and references throughout, and posted it on my website. Head games, indeed.
Got one of those scams last year.
Called the FBI and the lady who answered the phone said to delete it.They already know about it.
Coming from overseas they have to be caught in the act to be prosecuted.

wouldn't you think the NSA would catch them?
How about the Boston Marathon Bombers ( the Russians told us to watch out for those two )?
How about helping the Russians with the Olympics?
The NSA is after you and me for futures!

Most Nigerians that I know are well educated. There are over 140 languages spoken in Nigeria, but they all speak English, thanks to the Britts

I went to college with a few Nigerians, all of whom spoke reasonable English, but they had some WEIRD ideas about politics, religion and male/female relations!
Probably depends on what tribe they were from, ie, Ibos seem arrogant and into things like engineering and business, while the Yaruba are more into the arts and literature, but these are their stereotypes, not mine.
I answered one of these one time in the Yaruba language, "Oko kekere aloshi," which means, "Little dick SOB," Never heard any more from them. (Thank you, Mary, for teaching me!)
I worked in Nigeria for a while and it is fair to say that in wide areas status as a Nigerian is measured by your success in the area if corrupt practice. Guys who send out these messages are pretty low down on the scale.
