Here is a shot I took at the Guadalupe National Park at the salt flats a few weeks ago. The lighting was just perfect I had to stop and take a few. It was the last shot I took with my XSI before giving it to my daughter for Christmas.

All of the photos posted are so beautiful! I picked this one because I have struggled so hard to get exposure right on these Wood Ducks. Got this right before the end of the year.

There are so many outstanding images that have been posted ahead of mine on this thread and I do indeed commend those who are responsible for those images as I also commend Treepusher for starting the thread. Being inadvertently housebound early in the year forced me to think about new subject matter and I have two that are a tossup at the top of my list for the year. Please forgive me for being unable to pick between them.

The Fall colors looked awesome this years so I got up at 5a to travel to a state park to take the sunrise.

My first walk in 2014. Not a great picture but I thought the flower was very pretty. I like purple.
