the way I heard it was... Two things happen when you get old...
First, your memory goes... hmmm... And I can't remember what the second one is...

Halman, the first one is the second one to go. You just don't remember the first one, on account of the second!

SS - but it's my memory... I think?!
Gentlemen Let's consider this conversation closed. Why because every time someone writes something, myself and everyone else who has contributed to the mayhem gets a memo from Hedgehog HQ that somebody has written something which we hope will be worth reading, so we look and guess what It isn't. We all have better things to do than to argue over which camera was used to create a picture that moved us. Tramsey should never have made such a fuss in the first place. Sleep well now. Robin

Thank you. Surely this whole exchange has been a tempest in a teapot, much ado about nothing....

You missed the point. THe point was that I have a Nikon Coolpix 510 also and have been trying to get photos of BIF like the Sarge did with his 510 and unable to. I rechecked his thread to make sure I had the setting right and then I check the exif. Like two people said, (1) I should've Pm him first before I did anything. (2) Find my own settings and not use someone else's and expect the same results, it doesn't happen.

Oh well. This has gone on long enough and you noticed I haven't responded to any trash talk nor support. Now I have some time for both.
To those that supported me and/or made an excuse for me, thank you so much. To the others, just let me say I go out with both cameras most of the time, get home, transfer them to my photo hard drive and post what I think are good enough. Sometimes I get confused between opening the P510 section and the D7000 section. It's a simple mistake. Now, on the P510 - I take all photos either in Auto Mode or Scenic for sunsets or sunrise because the P510 is so light I can follow birds etc easily. Not with the D7000 though and when I do try BIFs with it, I raise the ISO and the shutter speeds and find something to brace on. Check the Exif data for specifics.
Easy to look at any photo and scan the Exif data when I have time.
As far as questioning my Army Time
1. Entered the Army June 27th 1960, 5 days after my 18th birthday
2. Retired from US Army July 1st 1990 after 30 yrs and 4 days of honorable continuous service.
Medals and Awards - There are 21 but with the government commemorative medals there are 27 but I don't keep track of all the commemerative awards issued after my retirement.
There, any questions.
