Thanks Erv, but I had a major accident. The wife bumped her
bad knee on a chair and screamed, I was down loading photo's
with my camera and lens on the desk, I jumped up to go to her
and knocked them off. Now the manul focus ring on the 100-400L will not turn. The AF will work but is real soft, the 7D does not want to focus and has lots of noise now. I will have to send them in to the good folks at canon and get them repaired when I go back to work on the 2nd. The real kicker is I found a bunch of Eagles with a nest and roost that have 10 to 12 that come in
late in the evening. I am now working with the T3i. mdh

Nice images ! - but sounds like you need some back up equipment ...
Great images, hope you get your lenses fixed and your good ladies knee gets better soon.

Wow, sorry to hear that! That is a good find. We had one here close to home, but so much traffic coming to see them made them move the nest farther back into the woods last year. Now the only way you can get a good view is by boat. Which is ok. Janny and I are going to do a lot of canoeing this year.:):) Hope the wife is doing ok!!!

Yes she is ok but so upset that this happened but I keep telling
her that the good folks at Canon repair will fix it. (Don't know
what it will cost) but they do a good job.
I don't have a Canoe but I sneak up on them or hide. It was wet and cold out there today. mdh

Very nice shots! Sorry about your trouble with the lens and camera. Glad your wife is okay. Always love photos of eagles.

Thank you and I have a question. I see you have the Sigma
150-500, is it real sharp with the 7D?.

Sorry, I almost missed replying back to you. Her knee is going
to have to be replaced she keeps knocking it out of place and
the pain is unreal. The draw back is, she is a Red Head and as
stuborn as an ol grey mule, and as sweet as they come.
Thanks for looking. mdh
