What model gopro do you have and do you like it. I have considered a gopro but after reading all the neg reviews about video problems I am still on the fence.

There is an on-going stream of negative comments on the GoPro Black on Amazon. It seems that the software is a problem. I have the previous version, several years old, and it works fine. My only complaint is with the controls. I have to refer to the manual every time I use it. There are just two buttons that control, everything.

I got one for Christmas which was bought at BJS. It was $59. I'm working at controlling it now. I'm pretty sure that it will support a GoPro as it's about 16" x 16" or more. I don't have a GoPro but I want to master the flying before I'd put it on.
On most of these quadcopters range is short and flight time is pretty limited. Range can be 100 meters plus, and flight time is usually between 6-10 minutes. The Corsair mentioned might have extended capabilities.
My 2 cents.

I have the Hero 3 Black Edition. To be honest, I have not devoted the time and energy to this capable camera to appreciate what it can do. My still camera gets most of my attention. This was a purchase to explore a more hybrid approach that many say is required in todays market. Hopefully I'll spend more time with it this comming year i.e. motion and time laps.

I think it';s the little black box in the center. The Q&A said it's not HD. I think it's all part of the package - no add-ons. The GoPro would probably be too big and heavy. For $80 there are limitations. Still, it would make a nice toy.

For doing no-brainier time lapse, look at the Brinno TLC200. Set it up, and it produces a finished video on the SD card.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

FWIW
I tried attaching an old cell phone that weighs 117.3 grams to my quadcopter (a Bladerunner Series, HeliQuad 2.4) and it wouldn't get off the floor. I imagine that if the GoPro weighs maybe 1/2 that, I might get a few minutes out of that. Guess I'll just have to wait until I can steal an Amazon.com delivery drone. :D

Have you had any problems downloading or editing the video?

I saw a video recently with a similar (larger) drone with video camera over Niagra Falls, it took video looking straight down on the falls. It flew around for several minutes and returned to the 'pilot'! Great video! Not sure if it was a Gopro or not.

I watch a program called Gold Rush. In one of the pre-show shows they showed a drone with a camera; I think it's a GoPro, and they sent it over a tall waterfall in S. America. They were afraid of a downdraft caused by the waterfall. However, it worked just fine.
