Steam locomotive at Christmas.
The Chicago & Northwestern 1762 roars back to life this time of year!
Love the trailing smoke, do they make the engine sound?

Brings back fond memories of the Chicago Northwestern. They used to run thru this town for many years until they were taken over by the Union Pacific. I was just thinking about that when I passed by a C&NW caboose sitting in a local park that's located near the railroad tracks in town. I'll have to take a photo of it sometime to post on here. Probably won't turn out real good since there's a fence around it I wouldn't be able to get away from unless I get up close. I'll have to see what I can do.

Oh, yeah. The tender has a pretty nice speaker and it chuffs, has a whistle, and a bell.

Yep. The good 'ol days. I hate it when there is a fence around a caboose or locomotive at a park. Ruins the shot every time.

Yeah, it's just too bad that they have to put fences up to protect things like that from being destroyed by vandals.
Awesome train photos. I remember our American Flyer making smoke. Love it!

My brother still has our train, from the very early 50s. What fun.

When I was a kid I got an American Flyer set. I kept it for a long time until I found an opportunity to trade it out for something else train related that I wanted.

What memories! I still have about 90% of the Lionel I got when I was 7 in '59 boxed in the garage.
