I did a photo shoot with my step daughter today. She loves horses and rides at the local barn. I was able to get some good shots and started playing with this one. I like the black and white version, but I still seem to think the original in color is a better shot. Thoughts?
used LightRoom to under expose by 2 stops and do B/W

Color, but she seems to disappear right into the horse in both versions.

She does. I didn't even pay attention to that. Thanks for the observation. I appreciate the feedback.
Looks like color is the preference. I may try some others in B/W. So nice to get feedback. Thanks all.
White horse - Does this work better in BW?

Yes, much better for B&W. You need the contrast for B&W to work. Nice one
color, got to have color.
Depends what you want. The B/W draws the eye immediately to your stepdaughter and horse, with the background only a minor consideration. The color shot, while beautiful, brings the background into the photo more strongly and diminishes the girl and horse.
Therefore, I'd vote against the majority opinion and go with the monochrome.
Although both are beautiful, I prefer the B?W because the details seem to get lost in the color.
this is the best one and it looks great in BW
