pg. 2: Hey Bill, where have you been?? Like your pictures. I found it interesting on your last one. The Lava rock. It is white, where what we have here is either red or grey. Different minerals. Where is your white one from?

pg. 25: Zeek, Nice shots! I use to spend some time there. Good food and usually entertainment. Looking at your pictures I tend to let my mind roam and imagine just what Old Town use to be like in the past.

Thanks JacLee. You know Chico isn't that far away. There is always good times to be had in Old Town.

Just heard on the news that the state of Florida could be sunned-in for the next several days. Residents have been urged to hunker down at the nearest beach and or tiki bar for further instructions. Use extreme caution when braving this blizzard of sunshine, preferably SPF30. We ask our friends and relatives to the north to please keep us in their thought as we deal with two feet buried in the sand!!!!!!

More of a seascape

I'm new here and glad to be in the mix. I too, am real busy with the Christmas stuff and I lead 2 missions with my church to Nairobi a year to do eyeglass clinics in the slums and am busy organizing an April trip already. One blessing, besides working with the people, is the chance to go on "one in a lifetime" photo safaris. So far, I've done 20 of them! This HDR photo was captured last Wednesday night in Austin, TX at the incredible temperature of 35 degrees. I had to crawl among bushes along a lakefront jogging path, avoid dogs that were off their leashes and keep from being arrested as some pervert with a camera at night! Here is one of the shots. Hope you enjoy....

Welcome and that is a beautiful shot!!! Well done, hope you didn't get arrested!

After a wet, drizzly chilling day yesterday the sun is out here today and expecting highs in the 60's (Fahrenheit that is). Saw this leafless tree that I couldn't figure out what it was so I decided it was a Christmas Tree....

Very interesting Christmas tree.... Nice set!

And I got a lesson from you JP. ( P 9) If I ever do get to PEI, I will remember..Atlantic Canada.

Those shots could be Atlantic Canada*, I can think of PEI places like those and Newfoundland or Labrador ones, and have fished a stream like that in Nova Scotia. NB is the only Atlantic Canada province where I have not resided.

* Atlantic Canada is NB, NS, PEI and Newfoundland and Labrador. The Maritimes is the 3 who joined Canada in the 19th c. NL came in in 1949 and Joey Smallwood wanted a different name for the 4. If you go to Newfoundland thou MUST say Atlantic Canada. I didn't in my job interview, I said "The Maritimes". OOOH :!: did I get a lesson.
