That may require you to keep the lid up.

You actually have several choices.
1. Gel one of the light sources to match the other
2. Post WB in Photoshop separating two areas
3. Use 1 speedlight with camera on bulb setting to light the two or three areas
4. Use 3 Speedlights to overpower the ambient light (1 in each area)
5. Punt
Nice remodel, but do you really still call them water closets over there?
And very nice work by WeddingGuy on the post processing. Now if he could just make the toilet a little less blue and take the brown out of the area above the door on the right half.... LOL, he's already gone above and beyond!
LOL. I thought that would motivate you for one more try. Most excellent, Weddingguy! I would have jumped in but I'm still an Elements newb.
I'm using Photoshop CS4 . . . every day! It would be much easier to correct an image like this in PS than to try the light balancing when shooting. Different rooms . . different colored walls . . . different light sources . . . wow! What it takes 10 minutes to do in PS would take hours and lots of $$$ worth of equipment to do before shooting.
Interesting challenge.
Wow! You fixed that with photo editing?

This is a shot from a bathroom suite I recently completed. In this shot you can see into the walk in closet on the right...and the water closet on the left. The walk in closet has a 4 foot by 18 inch florescent light attached to the ceiling...a shop light I call it...and the water closet has a single can light in the ceiling...I believe with a incandescent flood bulb in it. Maybe change the can light bulb to get these to match?
Don't forget to put the seat down before you leave. :D

Too late. The lid is closed. :D

The secret is layers. Each area of the image is handled separately. The new toilet is courtesy of Home Depot on-line catalogue . . . cut and paste.
