Hello Greg
Welcome to the uhh forum
May I suggest going to the search section of this forum
to help to answer your question only you will be able to decide what camera suits your needs and fits your budget
I have a canon t3i that I like very well but this is just my choice of cameras.
Good luck and stay in touch
saying hello from Pittsburgh
Welcome. Your choice of cameras will depend on how much you want to spend. If there is a camera shop nearby, you might want to go and pick up a few cameras to see how they feel to you. The search function at the top of the page will also give you lots of information on different cameras. B&H Photo also has photographers on staff you can speak with regarding what you want to shoot and the best camera in your price range. Then you can search the web for any deals that may be out there. Good luck and post some pictures for us when you finally get your equipment.
Ended up buying a Canon T3i with the 18-55 and 55-250 lenses. need to get good at it today take daughters formal pics tomorrow night. Any good suggestions? Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Greg

Hi Greg. This might be a little late. But put it in P mode and see how that does for your first time out with this important shoot. You can tweak the settings a little if you need to. Always go see what the camera thinks and then go from there. Was you get king you will be changing things to suit you.
