Best movie editor for MAC?

I have been using iMovie for editing film clips, but I have been asked to produce a movie for a presentation. I believe I need a more powerful program to do this. Any suggestions?

The best application is probably Adobe After Affects, but it's $650+.

the next step up is final cut pro, but iMovie is very powerful and you can do almost anything you need for a presentation
