With ground all covered over in snow, the hunt for food is on.
Poor Grannie is up on the Deck looking for bird seeds to eat. I think she found every one that the birds had dropped.

Thank you, Terri.
Grannie is one of the greatest, as her mom was. Its hard to resist her and it pains me to see her hungry as she is.
But we have a snitch in the area and the minute he suspects someone is feeding them the DOW are called and a citation issued.
I have a good idea of whom it is and i think if the cops were called a few times as hes speeding down the road, he may learn the word "Pay back"..
My neighbor was feeding them, and he got a citation and the next one brought him to court appearance and fine.
Its a sad world when one can't help mother natures creatures out when needed.
Just another homeless person begging for food or maybe
she wants to come in where it is warm.

They're called wildlife for a reason - remember the woman in Evergreen that was gored by a deer she was trying to pet because she fed it every day from a fawn? Or the woman from Ouray who was killed by the bear that she had raised from a cub... Yes, they are cute, but they are dangerous - wild - animals... and if you feed them, you make them dependent on humans instead of being self-sufficient. Best leave them be and let mother nature rule. Take pictures and enjoy the beauty, but please, for safety sake - don't interact with them.
Nice photos Marilyn!! :D :D

Thank you very much Moriti..

Very well done. The first photo reminds me of a day years ago at my home in Colorado. I opened the living room drapes only to be startled by a doe looking in the window from less than a food away. Of course she too was a little, no a lot, startled by me as well. We both looked at each other for a long moment before she gathered up her twin fawns and ran off.
