My 6 year old granddaughter loves our black cat Shakey. Last weekend she was visiting with us and drew this picture of Shakey for us. I scanned her drawing and used it to make a Christmas card for her adding a few Christmassy items.

Fred Ann, That is real cute. Wonderful idea. Love it.

These are all professional! I cant figure out how to do the text though....somehow I need to make it a separate layer and it has to have all those checkers ...never mind....lol.....

Greeting cards are sort of frustrating for me as i never seem to get the text right ....I need to look at some tutorials regarding text...but here are some I have tried to do.

Your pictures are great and the sentiments with each are so good.... When I place text,I try to put it in the least busy part of the pic.... And if it still doesn't look right I put a box under the text and adjust opacity

Laska.... Sometimes if it's hard to read the text not he image, I put some kind of border or frame around it and put the text on that

Thank you, Laska. Yes the text is a separate layer. In my program I just click the text icon and it automatically makes new layer. Then I click on place where text will go, get to choose my font and color (just as if writing a document). The only thing I can't figure out yet is how to turn the text if I want it at an angle.

pg 2 - It is a Robin Redbreast - Erithacus rubella - very cheeky little fellow that try and ensure they get photographed! They follow one around the garden.

Sue Jay, I have never seen a Robin Red Breast that looked like that. On Thanksgiving day I spotted a few Robins and got a picture of one of them. Very different from yours. That is a real cute picture of your Robin. If you don't mind I will add mine here. Look close and you will see the red breast. Sorry, not much shows but you can see it. FYI: These Robins should have migrated South by now, With the warm weather, almost spring-like, I think the birds and flowers are very unsure of what they are suppose to do.
