Hi Pictxterowner.
I'm guessing that I have missed something here relating to viewing 3D images.
Could you please elaborate on this. Thanks.

Glad to. May I point out first that the bird is inside the brush and trees. All that stuff is going to be out of focus for you and I so don't try to see any of it, just the bird.

Cross your eyes looking at the 2 photos of the bird till you see the 2 photos of it line up on top of each other perfectly.
If they pass each other you went to far

You going to have extra photos, birds and branches flying out of your ears but do not pay attention to anything but that bird and trying to cross your eyes till the two photos of it line up in the center and that my friend will be a single 3 D bird.

Its easy, I'll show you, get your camera, any one handy, a cell phone, P&S or DSLR don't matter.
Set up an object about 5 feet away from you, take a photo. No Tripod, then move left about 4 inches and point at the same spot and take another. THATS IT :-P

upload these two photos here and very soon (within minutes) I will generate for you a 3 D photo of that object better then that bird, unless you have trees and brush in your home, at this time. IT HAS TO BE STILL LIFE ok. Unless you are very fast like me and can catch the varmints before they have a chance to move at all! Go!

One is cropped some, it is possible to crop in further on individual objects as long as you maintain the integrity of the size after each crop.

Thanks for the advise. I did as you suggested and saw the 3D effect.
My problem is that I cannot maintain my eyes being crossed at the right amount for more than a couple of seconds.

It's referred to as selective viewing. (the ability to manually focus) a new term may shed light "defocusing"

As I ponder the word I think of someone waving there hand in front of my face.
I realize I was daydreaming. Though my eyes were wide open I could not see what was right in front of my face.
I don't know where my focal point was cause I just let go.
I did not care.

I make 3 D slideshow videos.
And I smoke. If I release the lock on the 3D effect to take a drag it is very hard to regain it.
Yet if I leave in a 2 D photo, as the slide show progresses when it gets to the 2 D photo I tend to cross my eyes to try to get a better view.
I think what I am saying is maybe you are trying to hard, you can not possibly see everything in the photo at the same time because it is in fact 3 D.

In real life you would need to look at one thing or look at something else. (The Branch of the Tree in your face or the Branch of a Tree behind that! Tree)
Try this, just pick out a specific object within the one photo (in focus) that is also in the other photo and overlap them, do not concern yourself with the entire photo.

Only the bird.

The entire piece will come into frame, in 3 D but you are only daydreaming about the bird so you will only imagine the branches and berry's. (you can not refocus) only Defocus.

defocus
defocus...

3 D effect

The quality is only as good as the small thumbnail I could save from the screen, Large Hi Def. photos can be cropped in to see specific details if the focus is clear enough.

Your photos were fantastic. I do not have the option to download the real photo is all.
They also served as a learning tool as I cropped out the table you used to maintain a level photo I assume.
And gives me the opportunity to say the photos don't need to be that level.
My last post " Bull Durham" shows a house in one photo crooked but the 3 D effect corrects this and shows it straight up and down. The Towers, hell just about every thing, I wobble when I walk sideways.
