Here is a new one for those who like to watch the History Channel, "Bible Secrets Revealed". A teaser suggesting that God has a wife and that they rule equally in Heaven. I have watched this show a few times but the ideals they come up with are so far out that I don't see how anyone could believe the BS that they like to spew forth. Also makes me wonder what I can or can not believe on the other shows on the History Channel. Too much fake and scripted shows as well as 'what if' theories. Not enough of real history...
God has a wife?????Oh come on children ! Read the BIBLE!
I bet Gods wife is an ex wife of Santa Claus.Kidding of course.

It's gotten to the point that The History Channel is as bad as that crappy Reality Channel, junky trash.
I enjoyed watching the History Channel when the shows were about History. How I don't believe what I see on that Channel. Bible Secrets Revealed has a way of twisting the truths of the bible to nothing more than out right lies, as if they are out to discredit the Bible.

Do you mean TruTV? I watch that only for the Worlds Dumbest Videos. Even that is re-runs from four years ago. Not much on TV to watch.
I'm sure most of you guys have visited God and spoken to him personally but discounting other theories is just close minded.
Although I wouldn't use the word wife, it was believed by the Pagans that there was a male and a female god and that they ruled the earth. The female was dominant in the Spring and Summer and the male counterpart in the Fall and Winter.
As many of the Christian beliefs are traceable to their Pagan roots, I wouldn't be too quick to discount everything.
Christmas which we celebrate on December 25, was originally the Winter Solstice and the burning of the Yule Log was part of that celebration along with what we know now as the Christmas Tree.
So tell me, what makes you guys so certain or for that matter so defensive about having a female deity?

Because God is neither Male nor female nor is he human or has a human form. God is spirit and must be worshiped in spirit and truth. How do I know? From the only souse we have, the bible.
It does not matter what pagans believed in days gone by. What counts is what man believes today. So what if we celebrate December the 25th as Christ birth date? Do you think his feelings has been hurt? What matters is that we do celebrate his birth date.
If man is made in his image, then wouldn't he have the form of a human?
Some claim He has a mother so maybe a wife is not absurd in that same context?
Frank T ......said in part..
So tell me, what makes you guys so certain or for that matter so defensive about having a female deity?
Well Frank, Lets see if I can make it sort of easy... You have a camera, I assume..
You have Extra Lenses for that Camera
You have an instruction book that says...
Insert small end of lens into opening in Camera body and twist to the Left..
BUT you in your infinate knowledge, say... the heck with this....you do your best to insert the large end of the Lens into the Optical Viewer with expected results..
AHHHH HAAAAA you go back to the instruction manual, do it like it says and WALLA.... you have a working Camera.
As Christians, we have an instruction Manual,,,It tells us much, it often tells us more than we can understand... BUT if it Said.. Christ and his Wife went into Jeruselum....we WOULD understand that... BUT since it does not say that, we assume with a pretty good certainity that he did not have a wife..... Simple

Several months back I was watching the History Channel to find out how (of course I KNEW...), "thats for you MagicRay" but wanted to see what the Three Hebrew Children managed to NOT burn up in the Firey Furnace. Low and behold they told me......
There was a cold spot in the furnace... they took refuge there until the fire burned out and they could escape...
BOY was I glad to hear that....
History Channel = Total unbelievable shows Daily....

No. God is spirit, invisible to us as human. We have his spiritual nature not a physical nature. We have Gods attributes, ie; love, even you Frank.

The same source that everyone goes to does not say anything about there being a Mother of God except in the sense that Mary who is the mother of Jesus who is God. But Mary is the Mother of a physical man, not a spiritual God. Jesus himself said that he is the first and the last, meaning that he is God. I think that only Catholics worship, to an extent, Mary. Protestants do not.
So, no. God does not have a mother and Jesus did not have a wife.
