grandaughter, not sure if this is a keeper or is it too much of nothing
I think this is a keeper without doubt, I love the off focus halo around her sweet face, adding to the underlying emotive theme of innocence.
Well done       ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Let me just add....do not allow comments of post processing from some, to somehow diminish your abilities or the beauty of the image.....don't worry you won't burn for all eternity in ''photography hell'' for using photoshop or any other software.
Of course it's a keeper.
Put it in your I phone and show it to every one.
Maybe something like this

I'd keep it. The composition is very nice but the softness
or out of focus is a little to much for my taste. Keep shooting!

It is good but there are some problems. You obviously used a lens wide open, as the face is in good focus. There is something coming out of the top of her head which does nothing. There is too much background which blends to her head. More separation between head and background, take the picture wide ope, then take more shots, and start stopping down the lens several stops.
That would be a start. There are many ways to take t he picture, depends on what you like..

woman4404... Definitely a keeper. She has a lovely expression and the soft focus around her matches her expression by letting the viewer know she's in her own little world. She a pretty child and it's a charming image....definitely a keeper

Absolutly beautiful! Love the diffused light.
Your original is lovely and your treatment of it has enhanced it. Just keep doing what you do. You're doing good :-)

That's really up to you. It a nice picture overall. If you really want to see how well it rates, submit it to 500pixs.
Try tearing it up in front of grandma. The old time "kidnappers" (Take your kids pciture and hold it in ransome tell you bought it} Would have sheares in hand ready to cut up your kids picture if you did not buy it. You could charge $100 to save this one from getting cut. - Dave
It would be a keeper if it was my photo.
