Very nice film. . . a different facet of today's war mentality.
Love the film and all of its history. Its wonderful to see that there are quite of few people still interested in preserving the past and the hero's who made it that way.
Great Story! Thanks for sharing.
Pleased you enjoyed it.
I wasn't aware that the USAF had flown Spitfires. My wife's uncle was a Spitfire Pilot and always claimed he'd heard they'd been in use by the American forces but couldn't remember where.
Now we know.
Thanks for the comments.
TonyP,
Thanks SO much for this link, I'm a WW11 aviation buff and my dad was in the Army Air Force stationed on Saipan during the same time period as this wonderful film was taking place. The reaction of the gentleman filmed landing is quite priceless, Again thank you very much for this gem!
Best regards,
Janko
