Now that the weather has turned, it's time to go indoors and continue trying for the illusive water drop collision.

You've done very well. Did you use a gel for the blue effect or PS?
Those are amazing. Great work!

Thank you PaulG. I used a blue gel under the dish.

Thank you Heirloom, fdeak.
I would say that you could stop trying as you seem to have achieved your goal but it's kind of like saying that all of the puddles of gurgling ooze in Yellowstone National Park look the same. Nice shots - keep them coming!

Excellent work! Would you enlighten us with a photo of your setup, and a brief how-to?

Thank you busted_shutter. If you go to search and type in water drops. This will take you to the water drops section. You will be looking for topics I (7D) posted on Feb.22,23/2013. This will show you all my settings and photos of my setup. Good luck. Any problems let me know I more than willing to help you out.

Thank you Mike D. But I still have not got the drops to collide yet.
After seeing your set-up, is #1 drops running down the string and then a little pp work?

Hi busted_shutter: The only pp in the photo is a little sharpening. The drop you see is the actual drop itself.
The string you see in the photo of my setup has a needle on the end of it that I use to set up focus prior to shooting. The needle locates where the drop will fall, I focus on it, then remove it. . There is no string involved in the actual shooting of the photo's.
Think I'll have to try it. Will be fun trying to mimic that setup. Great work all around.

Have fun. You will need lots of patience. Takes me an average of 250 shots to get 20 to 30 keepers. Need any help with set up drop me a line, more than willing to help.
That is so cool 7D...Extremely well executed.
