Have you ever considered that once you do a $100.00 wedding that is all you will ever book in that area? Find out what you are are worth and charge that amount. Be honest with what you can and cannot do. Regardless of what you charge there is always someone looking for that price range because of what they are expecting to receive. If you are charging $3,000 and delivering $500 worth, maybe I will see you on Judge Judy some day.

I think you should think about charging $100 for the save the date session with that going toward a credit for a wedding package. I don't think you are at the point where you could charge $1,000 for a wedding, maybe the $500 - $750 range.

I think you are being overly generous Annie

I did friends for $200 over my costs. Many of my friends just out of school could not afford a photographer, and would not have had pictures. I didn't advertise, and didn't do people I didn't know. Once I had enough experience, I told the people I had already done work for that I was available, and told them what to tell their friends what I would charge. It takes a lot of experience to get past the snapshot stage. Until your friends can't tell the difference between a commercial job and your pictures, you are not yet ready for prime time.
