Welcome to day 9 of our year long challenge. This has been a very interesting journey for me. Not only am I challenging myself to get out and photograph something every single day but also to see things in different ways.
So here is my entry for today ... To me this tree represents the Ugly Hedgehog. It's got a good strong base, it is growing a multitude of different directions. Some good, some maybe not so good, some may even be questionable.... but together we are stronger and help each other continue to grow.

Nicely done Jambulee!!! I particularly like the reflection in, "Moon on the water" and the color in "Moon set".

Another beautiful day to be out and about. Took my camera with me to my favorite park where I walk on week days. After going through my photos I picked this one.

Just beautiful. I love old homes like this. :-P

Ok...heres my day 9 but i froze my petunia off getting it! We have had 6ft9in of snow so far this year...but the tiny fishing village of Cordova has had 18feet and we have sent the national Guard to help as some people are snowed in to their homes and cant dig out...the snow is so heavy some roofs are caving in, people who need medical care cant get help, the airport is closed. And they had a rain yesterday that simply set off some avalanches making the snow even heavier. Anyway, there was some ice sculptures downtown and so heres my entry.

These are beautiful. I saw Cordova on the News tonight. WOW! All of a sudden I feel lucky that we haven't had much snow yet. That is some heavy wet snow, too. I bet they're getting several roof collapses from the weight. 100 lbs. per square foot! :-(

My shot for the day :)

Fantastic! What's the length of your lens?

Thank you! It's a 55mm-200mm. Nothing special but it works for me!

Mine goes up to 300mm and I don't get anywhere as good a shot as this. If you don't mind my asking, do you have a Nikon?

some really great photos again.....I don't have a whole lot to contribute.....yucky weather - no hawks, no eagle, no nothin' but a bunch of birds sitn in a tree on my home from work..... so I played in that Picasa program & this is what I came up with, don't laugh to hard, k. ;)
oh yeah & another pic of the moon (full moon)

Miss Stephie, you need more faith in yourself. The shots you are posting are very creative. My moon shots don't come close to yours and this tree is really cool. I love it! I look forward to seeing more of your work. :-D
