Just wondering if there were any interest in Minolta SRT's. out there ? I have 2 - 101's. and a 1 - 201
They all had a deep CLA by John Titterington in Kansas.
The light meters were adjusted to accept the newer 1.5 v battery, (original batteries were 1.3v mercury). Light seals and mirror bumpers were also replaced.
None of these cameras have been used by me since their return from the CLA's last March. One is in it's original box in the Minolta plastic bag and the original strap is still factory wrapped.
Originally purchased and CLA'd for kids and grandkids.. of 7, 3 had no interest in film. Stupid dad/grampy.. I forgot this is the digital age. (I am personally keeping a 101 and a 202) Nice learner an student cameras. built like tanks !
Prices and any avail lenses?

$75.00 per camera plus shipping
$95.00 for the one in its original box with owners manual. plus shipping. That camera is near mint condition.
Prices not fixed.. I am open to reasonable offers ! Worst I can say is no !
I paid $62.00 for the CLA's so would at least want to recoup that amount if I could. taking a loss on the cameras but better than a total loss.
Shipping ..USPS, Priority, if it fits, it ships. is $11.50 includes tracking.. The camera with it's original box may need a larger shipping box.. believe that is $16.85.
The three pictures are of the camera with it's original box, The box is in good condition, but not pristeen

I do have some lenses that I have received when originally purchasing the cameras but these lenses can also be purchased real reasonable on E-bay. they are the MC/MD type bayonet mounts.
I used Minolta srt's for years loved them. A while back a 101 in great condition with f 1.4 lens was up for $9.99 and six dollars postage. I bid on it and got it. Very seldom do I see them go for over $25. I would try to find a school or other photo group that still teaches using film and donate them. I think they are one of the best cameras every made to learn photography. - Dave
I learned photography on this camera.

The SRT was my first camera also back in 72. Loved it, that's why I decided to replace it. another one . and try to get the kids started ..
Will try to find a good home for them thanks. Come to think of it ..the High school down the road still offers adult photography classes...thanks
I got my first SRT-101 while I was stationed in Pakistan in 1968. You are right, they were built like tanks!!
The SRT 101 was my first SLR too, back in 1970 I think. Got it at the Korvettes that I worked in in Catonsville, Md..Shoot Nikon anymore but still have older SRT's & other mewer MF Minolta's (don't see any use though)

Korvettes ??? WOW haven't heard that name in a LONG time. ! I was raised in Philly, miss the Steak Sandwiches and sloppy pizza.
I worked for them for about 10 years & was still with them when they shut their doors...I used to work in the Sporting Goods & Bikes section except in the Summer I sold the above ground pools outside. Oh, I worked in the photo department for awhile too.....They closed up in Maryland back at the end of 1979...

We had a Korvette's in downtown Hartford, CT when I was growing up too. Blast from the past....for sure.
Hi- when you mentioned the 1.5 volt battery what kind are you talking about--alkaline? I am a little tight for cash right now but might be interested in buying them. I started also with the SRT 202 and later picked up a 101--loved them and love the simplicity of match needle ease. I have my Dads 202 and some X370s but prefer the older bodies more. I have lots of lenses. But let me know if you still have them and what kind of battery (1.5 volt) it takes.
I also lived near E. J. Korvettes when I lived in Cherry Hill N.J. across the river from Phila. There was one close by that my Mom and I went to all the time. Loved the pretzels at the stand outside--never found any better since I left the area 45 yr. ago and am a Hoosier now.

Seeings how the mercuries were and are a hazard to the planet ..LOL don't remember the battery number of the alkaline but will know them later when I get home common size.. but I still see the merc 1.3v for sale on the internet
