Are you sure the e-bay prices aren't for the D300s? Your price seems high for a D300 body.

I live in a suburb of Detroit Michigan and about 3 weeks ago bought a mint condition Nikon D300 with less than 3000 shots for $600. Got the original box and all which can with it. 2 weeks ago I bought the same Tamron lens as yours in mint condition for $200.

As I told someone I upgraded to a D700 ,my D300 and those two lens are worth more to me as a back up system, than they are to sell them so I will be keeping them.

well every one here says back , back up for what, they never brake down , and i dont think your a pro, or you would buying
a little more modern than the d700 , its gettin dated 12mp
i think you would be better served by sticking to dx i the d7000
is more up to date than a d700 granted its not full frame. but its got more new teck stuff on it . the d700 is built tough , but are you throwing them around a lot .

WEll listing here was a mistake,Bram Boy your are not interested in buying here so why are you looking and giving your opinion?. NO I don't through around, but will keep my equipment ,rather than give it away. If you don't like the term back up system then I will just say, as a camera I can keep in a run bag in the car, just incase I see something I want to shoot. NO not a pro never said I was, and the D700 was my choice over the D7000 for my own reasons . If you want to give good advice tell me how to take this thread down!

Hello Mary, I have been looking for a D300, and I got alot of the same about the D7000. If the D7000 was so great why is a D7100 already out? How do you like the D300. I think that it will be a great camera for me. Been using a D70 forever.
