I hear it's just a slight revision of the D600 because the D600 got such bad PR. They increased the fps from 5.5 to 6fps and put a new shutter mechanism in it.

Yeah, they just had to dump the D600 model designation...all political.

If your D600 is working fine, there's probably little reason to get a D610, unless you simply want to add another camera to your arsenal.

I can't imagine anyone who has a D600 getting the D610, unless they want to have two bodies. I would never get rid of my D600 in favor of the D610. If you're looking for a good FX camera, the D610 would be a good choice.

Now if they had added GPS and removed the anti-aliasing filter, I might give it some thought - but not for long. :D

Why do you want to change? What will it do for you? Do you think it will improve you photography? What are you using now? Do you know how to use all the features on you present camera? Can you justify a new camera or is it just to have a new camera?

I bought the D610 as a backup to my D800, I did not own the D600, but wanted a second FX camera with lower MP and could not afford a D3X.

I felt safe when they weren't yet being delivered. Now I'll have to somehow strengthen my will power. :D
