I use My Publisher. I get the superior paper and lay- flat pages. And tak advantage of frequent sales. Quicker customer sevice than Blurb.
I want to thank everyone for your suggestions. I will look at all of them. I have looked at three already and the "deal" offered by snapfish seems almost too good to be true with the price. I am impressed by My Publisher. If anyone spots a special by them, I hope you will post it. Jerry
Shutterfly recently acquired MyPublisher. I haven't noticed any changes except for some additional options. Has anyone else noticed anything?
I decided to try My Publisher, downloaded their software and proceeded to learn how to use it. My opinion after about 5 hours work with it, is that it is the worst I've ever used. I decided to stop my book half way through and use a software that I have used before that I consider the best I have ever used: My Memories. In My publisher if you want a very simple book, it will work and their price right now with specials is probably the best you will find. I switched to using My Memories. The difference in the two is the control you have and the versatility of My Memories. In it I can export all the pages as high quality jpg and they can be pasted into almost any other program, including My Publisher. But, My publisher put out a revision to their software and I read the agreement that said once you use their program, you agree they own the copyright to the book. No way am I going to agree to that. I'm unsure now where I will get my new book printed, but it may be back with Ritz locally where I can talk to the people doing the book. They have a special now that is 40% off that that puts them at about the price of MY Publisher. I will post some of the pages from one of my books soon to show the versatility of that program.
