Nice Joe... The quality of your B&W images are continuing to rise.
You did something pretty well that's hard to do.. That's capture hair that is really white. I had a couple of images like this in my B&W portfolio that I removed. I just couldn't get the hair to look good with the face without using fill light. The main improvement I see here is balance in your processing. One of the things I constantly review is balance of tones in my B&W's. Don't overdue the eyes... Don't overdue the contrast... Don't oversharpen to the point of to much metallic.

This image has a nice photographic balance. I think the most difficult thing to achieve is a stopping point. It seems to me like I am often one brush stroke away from perfection.

You did well in your work here.
Congrats!

Russ

Very nice Jo, not going to reiterate what Russ said so I'll add I like the expression you captured, also proving cropping off part of the head (in camera or PP) is not by a long shot a bad thing. Composition....right on.

Thanks Russ

All thanks to your videos.... I am going through a few more as we speak and the effects are getting better as I'm becoming autominous with the actions... I took these along with the previous posts model day on Saturday and done my first composite only 2 layers though just to learn so you can have a peek but don't show anyone.....;-)

Thanks Again for the Vids & Advice .... and kind comments they really have picked me up at the moment.

In 2 months I expect an image in this area that will earn a 5 Thumb.
