So whats the heavy stick for? Do I need one? I'm addicted to gear!
You need a heavy stick if you speak softly. :D
At 99 - 249 Euros, I'll pass on that. I'm surprised they don't list U. S. prices.

Quick note: if you are shooting in manual mode and have taken your meter readings and set the controls then there is no reason to cover the eye piece. In manual mode the camera can't change any settings, only you can do that. (yes the meter will give what looks like) wrong readings but this does not change the settings you already set.
If shooting in any auto mode then, yes, cover the eye piece as the settings will be changed automatically by the camera.
Watch the tutorials and see what it can accomplish then decide if it's worth it.
AnimatorDVsimple is an excellent free program which you may download, for time lapse.I use it,and with a wee web cam out an attic window and get super time lapse movies of cloud formations, sunsets etc. Give it a try since it is free and has all the controls you need.
