I really enjoy looking at the 1st one; can't keep my eyes off of it. Great shot!
Interesting.
Babcock State Park, W.V.
This grist mill is usually shown in the height of the fall season or in the spring with the blooming rhododendrons.
When I was last there I met the woman who sells these pictures at many of the road stops and state park gift centers.
She seems to usually shoot Canon with a long L lens.
Nice to see a different take on this scene.
Love them both but I like the second the best! I feel like it is more representative of the time period. We'll done!
Definitely #2...or maybe #1, no #2...awww, shucks...they're both really nice. Well done. ;-)
The composition of #1 is very compelling.

Nice set. You composed them well. Maybe a bit less dark of the blacks for the 1st image to show some details and to reduce the contrast. I like the vignetting around it. Not so sure that it worked for the second image though. Agree with others about straightening the mill. If you didn't sharpen the images, you have a very sharp lens. In fact, I would say the second image is too sharp for me. It may just be an illusion because of the contrast or lighting showing up the texture or HDR.
