Hi mullumby. Just have to tell you how lovely the middle photo with the cloud reflections is. Downloads are super. Not talking much from here but enjoying just the same. Sometimes I just have to let you know.
Thank you very much Markar, we all appreciate others looking in and commenting, it's the vain side coming out i suppose, but i certainly do.

Wow Scarlett, they are super shots, love each of them.
Todays rock art posts are from W.A.s Pilbara, unlike the previous posts of paintings these are carvings, and i defy anyone to tell me of what, they bare no resemblance to anything i know of.
The Pilbara has thousands of pieces of this type of art scattered over a huge area.

Pretty good shot for "Noxious Weeds"!
You seem to have caught a high edge on that purple color too. D7000 or 7100?
Enjoy the magic season

Any traditions of elaborate head dress anywhere in the records of the area?
Or of very strange visitors (as there was in Aztec lore)?

D7100! How did you know?
Howling at the moon, fangs will come out any minute.
This is a male splendid fairy wren...my shutter count has doubled on account of trying to get one decent shot of the male in full breeding colour. Nearly good enough.
These are young BF wrens..they were jousling for centre position on the branch.

Because of the color quality. Seems to have a better purple-red-and luckily for your wren-blue range.
That blue will not only test your camera, it will be well worth uping the shutter counts!
Nice work.

A NO to both T, there have been many theories put forward by learned peoples, but thats all they are ,theories. The art in most cases is dated at tens of thousands of years old.

 I see I didn't mention the flood photo. Meant to say I liked that one too, the two moods of water.
Like to mention Scarlet's spring is lovely too.
Thank you Markar. (-:
Your wind farm is bigger than my windfarm Mick.
Hey mullumby, given the wind we experienced over there early this year, I reckon the southern and south-western coast of WA is perfect for wind farms; I guess it'd be better if the Oz population was more evenly distributed there
We did see large ones on the Yorke Pen in Sth Oz though.
Scarlet, that male FW is SUPERB! Was that with your Sigma lens?
BTW, I picked up a D7100 this week so I'm on a steep learning curve, although some of the controls and menus etc are similar to my P510.

My apologies Scarlet, wasn't trying to start anything there.

Webbo, i have seen the S.A. farms and your right, i think they are bigger than anything we have, of course they get all our hot air, pun intended.
