Why not just vote up or down on the budget and put an end to this stupidity.

I know the facts don't fit with the Conservative views on the shutdown but the truth is that the Democrats have agreed to a Republican budget as a compromise but will not agree to the defunding of Obamacare.
That gentlemen is a compromise.
Stamping your feet and repeatedly saying you want to defund Obamacare at any cost is just dumb. Dumb, because you're not going to get it and dumb because even though a lot of people don't like Obamacare the truth is that only 23% support defunding it.
Let this Country go into default and there won't be a Republican majority left in the House come election day.
Boehner says there aren't enough votes in the house to carry an up or down vote on a clean budget but he won't let them vote on it so we really don't know.
Boehner needs to decide if his Speakership more important than his Country? Apparently it is to him.

That all remains to be seen, you are right facts are facts Frank, and defunding Obamacare was taken off the table last week, currently the only thing that the republicans are asking for is that the American people get the same delay in the mandate that our emperor granted to big business, how did he do that anyway? Changed the provisions of the law without a legislative process? And they are also asking that the congressional provision written into the law remain intact, another change by our emperor which negates specific provisions in the law, again done outside the legislative process...

It does not matter what happens to the republican party, let's go over the cliff together Frank, because when we destroy our ability to borrow and print, then we can rid ourselves of all the DC bullshit because they will no longer be able to afford their silly games of purchasing votes with the public treasury.
