a fellow bird shooter pointed out the location of this little mama's nest, very hard to see through a small gap in the brush. i was able to get this shot of the little lady keepin' the eggs warm. not a very good shot from a technical standpoint, but the only one i have of a hummer on her nest... they usually nest so far into the thickets you never even see 'em, and the nests are smaller than a teacup!
Nice shot. Next summer I am going to have to go out there with binoculars and try and find a nest to shoot. I have never even seen one.
Maybe it's not perfect according to photography standards but I like it very much just the way it is.
