I dusted off my P&S IR camera last weekend just so I wouldn't forget that I was raised on black and white.

There are some P&S cameras, unfortunately no longer manufactured but available on eBay, that can, with a flip-of-a-switch, and use of an I.R. filter be converted to take I.R. images.
The attached were taken with a Sony DSC-F828 (purchased off eBay)

Hey, Mike,
Do I understand right that your great images were taken with a P&S camera you paid to have converted to I.R. capability? What brand and model P&S camera was that and where did you have the conversion done?

The camera is a Panasonic TZ 3 I had it for some years, I guess it has about 7 megapixels. The conversion was done by a local technician, the filter used is strictly for black and white infrared, no color IR. He also sells his conversion cameras, I see him on Saturday and get his Email address if you are interested. I was going to have my old Nikon DSLR 100 done but he advised not too as with the SLR camera the focusing on IR is difficult.

thanks for the info, Mike. I suspect that it would matter little the specific camera you use...it's mostly in the eye behind it...and yours did a truly masterful job!
