Photoshop training recomendations?

While I've been a Photoshop user for years I've had no real training and just basically learned some skills on my own and undoubtedly picked up any number of bad habits along the way. Can anyone recommend any online turorials or videos that have helped them make efficient use of the program? Granted as a retired teacher, a classroom situation would be better, I'm not inclined to drive 50 - 100 miles round trip on a regular basis.

I have watched many of their tutorials and have purchased several of them. The videos are free when 'live' and available for purchase also. But be warned, they are 2-3 day classes from 9-4. They re-broadcast them in the evenings too.
I particularly like Ben Willmore, but Dave Cross is pretty good too.

I like his teaching style. There is so much to learn in PS, but Phil focuses on the practicle stuff you're likely to use as your workflow most often.

I purchased Lisa Snyder's course on Creative Live. It was ideal for the rookie to the pro. Very well taught, thorough, 4 days, eight hours a day. If you purchase the course you can have access to it at their web site, although I downloaded it to 5 DVD's as a backup.

Ralloh recommended 'Internet Download Manager' to me and I found that it works superbly so I recommend it to you too. It will enable you to record and keep tutorials, written and video, from the internet to watch at will and at a speed to suit yourself.
Another member told me how to run my Editor and the tutorial at the same time.
Start the editor (in my case Photoshop) then start the tutorial. To toggle between them press keyboard 'ALT+TAB' ( the key with the 2 opposite-pointing arrows, immediately above the Caps Lock key.)
To pause/resume tap the Space Bar. This allows you to follow and practise at the same time - invaluable.
There are many tutorials available. Try Googling 'Photoshop Tutorial Youtube' for a start. Add the name of a tool perhaps - eg 'selection'. You're in for a journey. Happy learning.

Yes, definitely. I got three of their sessions - D600, Dreamweaver, and Lightroom.

Lynda.com, too. For $25, you can watch everything they have for a month. Scott Kelby has a similar site.

Go to kelbytraining.com, join for a month and look over what is possible to take courses on. Most then stay for a year as thetre is so much on there all done very professionally. Another sight from the same is NAPP, National Association of Photoshop Professionals. On this sight you can join for a year or more, most just wind up staying as there is ongoing training both full courses and snippets. I personally took Kelby training for one year and now I have been on NAPP for 2 years. Good thing is they focus on both Lightroom and Photoshop.If you can hang on a month or so usually in around the 1st week in December they will have a full days of specials where the prices are slashed pretty good. Current pricing for Kelby training is $25 per month a year for $199 and to join NAPP for one year $99.
Looking back over your question you have been using Photoshop for some time and in that case I would recumbent NAPP. In December you might be able to get a year for $79 or even lower.
