Strange as it may sound cheineck, photography and one of my other hobbies generally do occur at the same time. When hiking I record the views, when fishing I record the catch worthy of a photograph and I generally take the Barbershop Chorus photographs for the website and college/convention events. Although its not all at the same time it's some at the same time :-).
I wish I could do it all at the same time, it would definately save time. :-) :-)

woodworking, outdoors photography, macro photography, fishing, boating, building a 1954 Willys Wagon, remodeling the house, travel, swimming, etc., etc. How did I ever find time to hold down a job, I wonder... The message here is that it is very important to stay busy AND enjoy retirement

used to shoot silhouettes back wont let me any more
used to shoot 1000 meter knees and hips wont let me any more.
Used to shoot combat, Aint as agile as I once was
used to drag race, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive
used to build engines ( for fun and profit ) again waaaaaaaay to expensive
Used to hunt large furry woodland critters, Now I just like to sleep in

I do go fishing once in a while ( At Stop and Shop, real time saver)

Best use of time these days is enjoying being with my baby and her baby and a very special woman.

now a days hike, travel when I can, Shoot what I like, when I like.

I had to retire 2 years ago due to health problems but the doctors said that one of the best things I could do for myself was to have a hobby. I hadn't been planning to retire this early (I'm 64 now) and I really hadn't given it much thought and it was my doctor who suggested photography.

I was just wondering if anyone else has (besides photography) any interesting or unusual hobbies?

Metal detecting, gold prospecting, hanging out downtown with all the "brown-eyed girls",

I am a bird watcher, I make a small vegetable garden, and I glue my better flower/scene photos on note cards which my wife uses to write friends. At the age of 81 I enjoy being laid back.
