Mum had lots of this common lily in her garden when I was a child, I always used to pick the middle out of them. I didn't like them much but now I think they are one of the most beautiful elegant flowers, people often associate them with death but they are now also seen more in bridal bouquets.

Very pretty.
Correct if i am wrong, but it think they have become quite popular within the last 20 years. In the spring time most stores sell the bulbs.
I think we have a classic here~
Nothing common about this composition. Beautiful!
Beautiful composition. That would also look spectacular in black and white with all the different tonality and contrast.

Lovely shot. Maybe they're used in bridal bouquets in anticipation of the death of the marriage? Just goin' by the stats. ;)
Thank you all for your kind comments, these were taken in a friends garden, to get this composition I pushed one flower against the other with one hand while taking the photo with the other, I think because of the depth of the flowers and how close I was the photo is not as sharp as it could be but I like the softness in this case. :)
I like the soft inviting draw into the center of each.
Just back tracking--Great shot Pixel
