Today is the Auntumnal Equinox or the first day of Fall. The sun is positioned directly over the equator, thus making everything in perfect balance between earth's two poles. This only happens two times a year, spring and fall.
Because of the equal pull between the poles today, it is actually possible to balance an egg, amongst other things, standing on end. I have actually demonstrated this with several objects including drinking glasses by standing them on the bottom edge at a tilt in balance.
Here is the shot of the egg which I took earlier today. Enjoy! If anyone else has done this with eggs or other objects, share your story and your photos. Have a little fun today. And "Happy Autumnal Equinox"!
Great day for "Cow tipping"!
after going to all that trouble you couldn"t focus a little better? Were you balanced on your head too? :lol

It looks like he's focused on the reflection, but I'd like to see him balance that egg on the other end. :-)
