Really? LOL You are a hoot. But my best guess is a Western Sandpiper.

If that is a Western Sandpiper he would have had to have taken the picture on the very edge of the Pacific or in Alaska. I suspect he took it in Florida where he lives. No Westerns there. The markings are also very different.

Actually, Joe, we do get Western Sandpipers here. Got a photo of one a few weeks ago. They are smaller than this bird though. This is definitely a Willet as you said.

If not, look at the tag right under it's tail. Usually has the type of bird and year it was manufactured !!
