I grew up in Texas but only saw a live Road Runner once and he was really moving. Very nice!!!
Now that's more like it. like the way the light creats the colours in the feathers. Bet the download would be great unless this is a crop.

Never seen one except in the cartoon! Great shot! Thanks for sharing.
Good one, you got a good look at the beak. When I lived in Las Cruces, NM at NMSU married student housing, there was one that liked to get up on the adobe fence. He stood about 15" tall. (good hunting, few predators, vehicle smart) They're not small birds.
From Wikipedia: "The roadrunner is about 5262 cm (2024 in) long, has a 4361 cm (1724 in) wingspan and weighs 221538 g (7.819.0 oz). It stands around 2530 cm (9.812 in) tall and is the largest North American cuckoo.[4][5][6] The adult has a bushy crest and long, thick, dark bill. It has a long, dark tail, a dark head and back, and is blue on the front of the neck and on the belly. Roadrunners have 4 toes on each zygodactyl foot; two face forward, and two face backward."

Very nice shot and composition. I love these guys and enjoy seeing them when we're in areas that have them.
