Sad day for me today, got home from work and found my beloved pup had passed away in the kitchen corner where she layed waiting for my return .
She was from a litter of 6 born the night we had a devestating ice storm that knocked out power for several days, she looked like she was covered in freckles hence her name.
Freck and her sister Missy have been my loving companions for the last 12 yrs.
She will be missed terribly as she was my butt warming dog ( she crawled under the covers and snuggled against my butt in bed )
She will be creamated tomorow .
I am sorry for your loss. Losing a canine companion is a very taxing situation. I recently lost my beloved 12 year old Labrador. Post pictures of her share some stories, we would love to hear them.
Aww
www. I'm so sorry. She's a beautiful dog. It's a very painful thing to go through. You certainly have my sympathy.
Thank you both very much .

I am so sorry for your loss. As a fellow dog lover, I know how hard it is to lose such a close companion and friend. They become an important part of your life and your family. The picture on my Avatar was my little friend who passed away. They leave your life but they always remain in your heart.
Thank you John, just a bitter pill to swallow after a hard days work and expecting your normal welcome home from the pups.

I am very sorry for your loss. It is never easy to lose a friend especially so suddenly. Place her ashes in a favorite spot and talk to her often and it won't feel like she's so far away. You have great pictures and wonderful memories to help keep her close. Who knows, maybe it was time for to go because there is a new someone special waiting to come into your life. Deepest condolences from myself and all my furry and feathered children.you are in our hearts and prayers.
Thank you very much for the kind words and thoughts

s a cat rescue volunteer, and animal lover, my sincere condolences.
People forget that they are not just animals, after all that is all we humans are, they are in fact real members of the family.
I lost Remus my cat a year ago, have three more rescue cats but will/still miss Remus and always will.
I don't know what they do over there but I have Remus in a "frame" casket with a photograph on the front in the home, with explicit instructions to bury here with me one day.
Think long before you do anything with your beloved dogs ashes
Thank you JR1.
Not sure what all is available , will find out later today and make the proper choice.
Her ashes will occupy a special place waiting for her sister to join her and both will be placed with me when my time comes.

I think that is very wise, years ago we rushed into things, there was no choice, you left the pet with the vet, tragic, my Lassy died thirty years back, I know where my love ended up.
Keep her, remember her and only when the time is right for her, your family member, do what is right

So very sorry...they are so loyal...she will be waiting to snuggle up to you once again!
I'm so sorry for your loss and know how very painful this is. My heart dog's ashes sit on a shelf next to his sister's ashes, with both of their photos, sympathy cards, etc...and it brings me comfort knowing that they are still with me, just in a different form now. I like to think that the next dog that comes into your life will have a little bit of Freckles spirit inside of it. You may not see it right away, but one day, a glance given to you from your new pet, and you'll see it, Freckles will be there when you need her the most. Sending my sympathies during this very difficult time.
