I am an amature photographer who's main interest is photographing wildlife and wildflowers. I use a Nikon D50 with a 70 to 300mm lens on the wildlife and the 18 to 55mm for shooting wildflowers in Macro mode. I was a bowhunter for 34 years but now just go out with my camera. My interest in photography really increased with Digital.

Nice shots. Glad you left the buck standing :) I'm just down the road from y'all. Know lots of people your way.

Cindy, So we're neighbors! Interesting to find someone on here

Yes, unless you are familiar with bowhunting most people wouldn't know a broadhead is a modern-day arrowhead.

WOW!! The Coyote shot is amazing. They are so wary and elusive. How to tell a coyote from a German Shepard? Shepards hold their tails up high, while coyotes hold them low.

Yes, the coyote is very elusive to get close to. I just got really lucky on this day as I was in a tree stand to photograph the deer. He was only about 30 yards from me and never knew I was there! If you spend enough time in the woods, you are bond to get lucky once in a while. Thanks for the tip on the coyotes tail. I didn't know that.

Hello from Ithaca, just joined a few weeks ago, hoping to contribute lots of Macro shots and waterfalls. Everything is kinda blah now but should get some nice shots to share once the ice forms.

That's a nice shot of that Coyote!

I know what you mean about everything being blah right now. I got a nice shot of Taughannock Falls in the fall. That's one of my favorites and also like Robert Tremen State Park down your way. Have you ever been to Carpenter's Falls off route 14A on the west side of Skaneatles Lake near New Hope? That's a neat one to get.

Haven't been to Carpenter's Falls, will have to check it out! One of the first places I want to hit when it turns green again is Watkins Glen Park, plenty of great shots to be had. Taughannock Falls is definitely best in the fall, the color really "pops".
