I have a D7000 that I love. I know you weren't happy with some of the pics, do you have a UV filter on your lenses? What is your setting for the white balance? Are you shooting in A,S,P,M or one of the preprogrammed scenes? Did you buy it used?

No filter although it came with several..... Not even sure how to set White Balance ( true newbie with this sophisticated of a camera)
I am shooting S
Have all on AUTO
Yes, I bought it gently used, like new condition
Came with the lens he purchased it with , and a Tameron Zoom.
I have a 50 Nikon lens also myself...
Going to order D7000 for Dummies and maybe watch some Tutorials

I found a book that comes with 2 DVD's from Magic Lantern Guides very helpful. It's Nikon D7000 Media Workshop. The book is more of a quick start but the DVD is where the real info is. I have a couple of other DVD's but this one really gave me a lot of good advice and was easy to understand. Good luck!!
