I think he might be getting us started with his turorials and before long will want a monthly payment like Adobe....:)

I'm using your suggestions in softening and enhancing.
No expensive, new fangled programs, just Gimp.
I've enhanced the eyes, softened the main photo then used the "mask" to bring out the eyes.
The background was severely blurred with the Gaussian thingy.
I've still got lots to learn from you. :D
Lovely cat portrait Geezer...I'm with Linda on the background...I think it competes with your beautiful cat
Hey, Ron-- I think you did a darned good job with this, your best effort yet! I'll agree with Linda, the background is a little too bright, and maybe just a touch too busy, even with the blurring. If you could cut the brightness back a tad, the 'busy-ness' might not matter so much, tho you might still consider upping the Gaussian blur just a litte more. But that's just personal taste.
I like that the background colors compliment Tippit's own eye color. That works nicely, and good job on the choice. The shorter haired cats are difficult for me to get a nice edge, and you did that really well here. You also got those ears up and alert, her attention nicely focused, and overall it's really an excellent job. I'm very pleased with how well you did here. Good work!
Great job,Geezer. I'm sure it was a lot of work. It kind of reminds me of those scenes in movies where someone blows up a building and casually walks away :)
That background is a real surprise. Makes the picture quite special, doesn't it?
Mike.

Thanks Randy.... My Brother-in-Law seems to agree also.
This was done at camp, sitting on the deck in the morning. (sipping a beer....)
Looks quite different when the sun goes down.
I'll be working on a "Plan B", and hopefully improve a bit..

Thanks.... She always wanted to be a stand-in for Bruce Willis, but her agent said she was too short... :(

Thanks for looking. I'm just waiting for my wife's opinion.
She'll see it tonight.
