What's a GPS?
Global Positioning System- Tom Tom and Garmin are GPS's Many cell phones have them also. I even know of some tractors that have them.

I was joking. I wouldn't drive anywhere without one. Gives me more time to take photos rather than reading maps.

Love your clouds Ian. I'm glad to see someone else who takes pictures of cloud paintings. So sorry you and your true love must be apart. But, to help you fill the time .........go to a library or bookstore and find a book called Wicked by Gregory Maguire. It tells the story of the Wicked Witch of the West from her point of view. Gives a whole new slant to the Wizard of Oz. Besides, it seems as if you need a good diversion. Or a designated driver, whichever comes first.
