This is the most enjoyable bit of banter I've read in a long time.

Very funny and a good point. I hope the vegi's don't wear leather shoes or use any kind of crude oil product. Logic is not part of their vocab.

You wrote that?

No, it's lyrics from a song by Sting/Police.

I supose Greenpeace thinks all the food in the market is grown on trees. You know, there should be age limit in this Hedgehog thing so the very young could go somewhere else to live in their fantasy world.

I think it's eighteen.

PETA = People Eating Tasty Animals!

There is a place for all of God's creatures. . .right next to the veggies and gravy!

Nice conceptual combination of images. Love the shot of the Mallard "green head" (Drake). Your domestic duck on the table looks yummy. A good sized wild Mallard "green head" will only weigh about half as much as your domestic table duck, and that's live weight. Also, the meat on a wild Mallard is red in color, putting lots of people off, as they see a cooked bird and think "chicken".

Comes from too many years sitting in duck blinds, two to three days a week during the season. Or, as my wife would tell people. . ."Oh, he is out murdering ducks!"

The first duck has kind of an eerie smile on his bill, the second duck....not so much.

This reminds me of hunting Quail on some hunting preserves where the quail have been raised and exposed to humans until released. When the dog points you have to walk up, look the 'comfortable' quail in the eye and kick him to get him to fly! Not a lot if fun-- like shooting a member of your family!!
