Love the tree. Do I see a photo editor infrared simulation here?
If you are talking about mine then yes you do. It looks much better than the original. Arizona has a lack of any color except brown these days.

Not sure how long this will last but I decided to challenge myself and make at least one photo everyday this year of something I normally wouldn't shoot.
So here is my first entry ....
I was out hiking in the mountains today and this tree just spoke to me. Not sure why LOL.
Feel free to post yours if you are up to the challenge.

that was straight from the camera, no crop, was jsut a bad shot not getting his whole face in it, I am not much on levels, I do a bit of contrast, saturation, balance,,never fooled with levels,,I meed to learn those as well though,,lol,,thanks for the feedback, I will look at levels asap

Levels is the first place I look ... The histogram tells the story as far as the white balance goes in my opinion.
What you want is the black part of the histogram to go from the black side edge to the white side edge with the hump (for lack of a better word this early in the morning) to be in the middle.
If you find there is nothing in the black or white there are little arrows at the bottom of the histogram which you slide over either slide the black arrow to the right or the white arrow to the left until they meet the rest.
The center arrow is for the midtones .... most of the time you won't need to adjust this part.

Here is a pic of a tree I took today....totally flocked in snow..we have had so very much snow lately.
Gorgeous! We're still waiting for snow here in Buffalo. I don't know why it's taking so long. I'm looking forward to getting some good snow pictures :-P
I did this a couple of years ago for the Flickr 365 - boy was it a challenge but it was well worth it. The best thing I learned was photographing mundane things that most people don't even notice!

I can see why it spoke to you. Very nice shot!!
I've contemplated doing a picture a day, but I just got a new camera for Christmas and I'm still trying to learn my way around it.
