I have your exact same equipment and an extra lens. Purchased a Domke bag and it has room to spare. Opens from the top and you can attach your tripod to the bag as well. Not sure if I want to do that, as it can get much heavier and awkward. And, I don't take the tripod everywhere. Like someone else said, shoot at a faster speed. The bags with rollers on the bottom are OK for smooth surfaces, but how many times will you be on those? You end up dragging the bag and in my opinion, you use more energy doing that then carrying bag on your shoulder. Hope this helps in your decision.

I went to Staples )an office supply store) and bought a small two wheel hand cart and a plastic mike case sized container; collapsed its about 2 feet high. Attach the case to the cart with bungee cords, put everything in it and take it where I want. Yes, it limits where I can go but not by much.

I am having trouble with carrying tripod, camera bag with lenses. I recently went to Lettuce Park and it was difficult to carry all these items. Any suggestions to lighten the load and make it easier to carry when shooting in parks, festivals, etc???? Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance. I have a Nikon D5100 with 18mm-55mm; 55mm-200mm lenses, filters sets, tripod. There has to be an easier way to switch lenses quickly than getting into my backpack after setting on bench, ground, etc.

First decide if shooting landscape or wildlife. Then carry either the camera with wildlife lens, or camera with landscape lens attached to tripod over shoulder. Carry extra battery, memory card in pockets. Not only will you be more comfortable but your photography will improve as your only concentrating on one aspect of photography. For me it's about comfort and serenity, one camera, one lens, one subject..

I modified a collapsible jogging stroller that I purchased at a thrift shop. It works great for me when I use my Nikon 600mm
lens at a Zoo or in the field where there is a good trail. I can carry all the gear I want plus food and drink. I got this idea a few years ago when I saw them being used at the Alligator farm in FL.

I call it the Urban Sherpa it can carry 400lbs. It takes 1 finger to push. It has parking breaks. It can be converted 13 different ways. When you get tired you can sit and rest. It hauls all you gear, it folds up to less then 12'' wide, it hauls your water, your food, you tripods and I even have an umbrella for it. I had to build one for my sister who uses hers regularly.

   And you can usually find another pocket or, being female, I always have a small cross-body bag with me so your smaller lens can go in there.

My Kata Slingbag can be used as a sling bag over either shoulder or as a backpack but the feature I find helpful at times is the way the back is constructed. It has a wide band that can be used to attach to a small hand luggage cart that folds up. When I want to carry a lot, I attach the luggage cart. At one time Kata sold a "trolley" to use with the bag but an ordinary small luggage cart from Amazon works fine for me.

I solved that problem by getting a Canon SX50HS. Now I leave all that heavy stuff at home. Everything I need in one little box!

Buy as second camera body-use a optec dual harness - have matching release plates on both cameras for the tripod.
works for me.

Except a tripod and better flash. I had intended to buy an SX50 this week but got cut from a job on Tuesday. So my priorities have changed for now. :-(
