Sorry the collision isn't a bit sharper - I was concentrating on the 3rd subject on the left.

Thanks for the comments. I took a number of pics of these butterflies and discovered most had missing pieces in their wings - maybe bird strikes. I cloned in a missing piece on the lower left butterfly. Still haven't gotten a "perfect" butterfly in a "perfect" pose yet.

I was at an event for remote airplanes a week ago and missed a crash by five seconds..the time it took my camera to be ready for the next shot. He was coming in for a landing and as I was panning the shot, something went wrong and he crashed .... five, maybe ten feet above the ground. Your crash is WAY better!!!!!

This time of year you'll be hard pressed to find a complete beautiful butterfly. They've been through many storms, fights for mating rights (yea, they act just like all the other animals in the world when it comes to reproduction) and the powdery stuff on their wings loses the glisten- y sheen, but why worry about that when you got this!! Very serendipitous and a good shot too!!

Wow! Very kind of you to say that. I had a mentor in Australia - with many years experience and highly skilled. In 8 years he complimented ONE picture of mine. I'm 68 but he was like a father figure but I seldom got favorable remarks from him.
