Thank you for the link KW. I just dont know why that health care plan has to have so many pages. I think its larger than the Bible. I have not read it my self so I cant say for sure but Ive heard it contains a lot of goverment controles and that dont set well with me. Did any of the people that voted for it read it? I never liked buying a pig in a poke. Every thing in that thing should have been explaned to the public. Why is everything so secreative with this president??

Hal, I agree. The preferred plan, in my opinion, would have been Medicare for everybody. The structure is in place and would have been simple to implement. However, there was a desire by some to keep the insurance companies involved, so we got this complex plan. If you are on Medicare nothing much changes, but there is much to iron out for those under 65 due to the strong opposition from some.

Hal81, don't tell anyone it's a secret. the question should be why is there a secret with every president, every single president.

Is that not how competition is supposed to work -- a better product for the same or better prices. That's a mainstay of Republican belief.

Hi, Richard. Me, again. There are a multitude of insurance policies available with a wide range of coverage and a wide range of cost. The insurance companies are still businesses. To assume that you are going to get better coverage for a lesser cost is very naïve.

Actually, in my opinion, this would have been the best answer in the long run. Taxes would go up but you would not be paying for health care anymore to an insurance company. I would figure that there is a lot of issues that would happen but be the most effective method.

I agree. Universal coverage through Medicare would be my preferred answer to this, but of course many people get the heebeejeebies over this and scream "Socialism," as though socialists are some kind of monsters. Horse puckey.
